I really think that MMF can do everything better than Game maker and Scratch and I really mean it.
The only disadvantage is that one cannot find Clickteam easily. It is more likely to find Dark basic, Torque and Game maker. Try a search in Google "make games" or "create games". Clickteam does not appear in the first 5 pages(I stopped looking as anybody would do).
I was using GM when it was distributed by Mark Overmars (I am not positive about the name) 6 or 7 years ago. I could not make anything that would come even close to professional...Now that I use MMF my life is so much easier and I have created many applications that I could not even imagine that I would ever be able to make ! But I could not find this amazing program for years.Even if I had found it in my first steps, I don't think that I would have realized how great it is. I think that when somebody downloads the trial version you should give together ready-to-use examples (should I call them templates?) of well known games like pacman, car games, shooting etc. This is really important for someone that tries to make games for the first time. I know there are many examples in the forum and in the learning resources but what if somebody does not know English well? This was the reason I began using Game Maker at first and the fact that it was free.
Now, I know that MMF is cheap and it's worth every penny. But one always tries to find free solutions first...
As for scratch I really liked the idea of dragging the commands and "building" applications. It does not compare to any of Clickteams' products but I think it is much easier for young children to use. It is the translation too.. Scratch is translated in many languages and it makes it easier to use especially in primary schools. Another advantage of scratch is that anybody can publish their work easily and share it with others. Of course Games Factory has many advantages as a creation tool. The difference again is the fact that Scratch is free...
